In the eighteenth century, the word aphrodisiac appeared in our vocabulary for the first time. This word is derived from Aphrodite, the goddess of love in Greek mythology. Nowadays, aphrodisiacs are often used to increase the sexual performance of men and women. One lends to these various properties. Some want to stimulate sexual desire, while others seek to facilitate erection. We also noticed a sensation of lightness, a libido or a more intense orgasm.

 The list is long, but among the foods better known as aphrodisiacs, one will remember the most popular: chocolate, asparagus, seafood, caviar, garlic, ginger, strawberries and raspberries.
